The M3 base crystal contains 25 billion transistors. The chip includes an eight-core CPU with four powerful and four energy-efficient cores, as well as new graphics architecture, Dynamic Caching, which distributes real-time memory. At the same time, the Apple M3 graphics processor has hardware-accelerated ray tracing and hardware acceleration of mesh shaders - all this improves the rendering of geometry in games and applications, allowing faster rendering of more complex scenes. The processor supports up to 24 GB of combined memory and one external display (in addition to the built-in MacBook). Taken together, all these innovations make the M3 family about 10-20% faster than M2, and 45-65% more productive relative to the M1 generation.
