The T7 Touch is based on two chips: one is the Samsung Pablo NVMe controller, and the second is the ASMedia ASM2362 USB-NVMe bridge.
High-performance, highly secure, high-capacity external SSD with full support for high-speed USB-C 3.2 Gen2. Based on a bufferless Samsung Pablo controller, working in conjunction with a reliable branded fifth-generation 3D TLC NAND flash memory. It is distinguished by its modest size and low weight (58 g), which makes it possible to carry it without problems in any bag, backpack or outerwear pocket.
Provides ultra-fast user data transfer through USB 3.2 C Gen2 port (up to 1050 Mbps), which is 6-10 times faster than conventional 2.5″ HDD-based consumer mobile storage. Such speed and impressive capacity guarantees quick video copying of any working project files or volumetric media (4K / 8K resolution video, RAW photos, high-quality uncompressed audio). The Samsung T7 TOUCH MU-PC1T0K/WW SSD is additionally equipped with a fingerprint sensor for reliable user authorization. To protect information from unauthorized access, strong AES encryption with a key length of 256-bit is used. The device comes with two types of cables: USB-C -> USB-C and USB-C -> USB A (both 50 cm long). This makes it possible to quickly connect to any personal computers, laptops, ultrabooks, media players and Samsung smartphones.

I've been using it for almost a year, primarily for backing up work projects. It works without complaints, and unlike other users, it doesn't disconnect when connected via a Type-C/Type-C cable. The casing is sturdy, it has already endured "hammer and chisel" as seen in the photo, and it still works. The drive already has Samsung software installed, which allows you to restrict write access with a password, or with a password and fingerprint (you can add several fingerprints at once). The software supports Windows, OSX, and Android. I initially thought it would completely block access, but password protection makes it "read-only." There is a read/write indicator around the fingerprint scanner. Resistant to physical abuse, the ability to restrict disk writing with a password and/or fingerprint, includes 2 cables Type-A/Type-C and Type-C/Type-C, very compact!, has a read/write indicator.
