Due to the specific barrel distortion of the image and a minimum focus distance of only 15 cm, the lens provides great features for the photographer's self-expression. The lens can be used with digital SLR cameras with a sensor size of less than 35 mm as an ultra wide-angle lens. It is possible to use a light filter (attached behind the rear lens).
