Fast wide-angle for the cavalry of full-frame mirrorless cameras from Sony, Leica and Panasonic. The model is assigned to the artistic line of Sigma Art optics and is sharpened for diverse genres of filming — landscapes, full-length portraits, street photography, etc. The optical scheme of a fixed lens consists of 15 elements in 11 groups. It uses aspherical lenses, elements with low and extra-low dispersion to eliminate all sorts of artifacts in the manner of distortion and chromatic aberration.

To the envy of many portrait photographers, the aperture of the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art has an 11-blade design. On its covered holes, you can achieve perfect rounds in the blur zone when drawing bokeh. The lens is focused from a distance of 30 cm. A thread is cut near the fixing frame for installing filters of 67 mm caliber. The model adds about 645 g of weight to the "carcass" of the camera. The lens measures 75.5 mm in diameter and 109.5 mm in length. Control rings on board the optics are used for manual focus and aperture control.
