The premium prime lens for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras is the smallest and lightest lens in its class. The lens is assembled in a dust- and moisture-proof housing with dimensions of 75.4x92.4 mm. The Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM weighs 445g. It captures an 84° field of view and boasts a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture. The design of the lens diaphragm has 11 petals, which is the key to obtaining artistic bokeh.

The inside of the lens hides a complex optical design (13 elements in 11 groups with many special elements) and an advanced DDSSM (Direct Drive Super Sonic Motor) autofocus motor, which helps to quickly, accurately and quietly cling to the subject of shooting for both photos and videos. On the body of the model there is a separate ring for changing the aperture. Its values can switch smoothly or in footsteps. The front element of the lens is coated with Nano AR, which reduces flare and ghosting. Any of the suitable light filters with a thread diameter of 67 mm is also installed there.

I collected three of 28-75/ 100-400 and... and 16-35. I assembled it with 24mm and didn’t regret it

The lens is a dream! Best wide on FF Sony

Turkey. Cappadocia. Balloon Festival! The combination of a7rIII and 24mm f1.4 is pure delight. A wide-angle lens that you never want to take off the camera. Initially, I was upset that I couldn't test the 16-35 GM, but I never thought about it again. A lens that served as a wide-angle "portrait" lens and for shooting wide shots.
Sharp in the open. I only changed it to 1.4 when I needed to photograph 30 Chinese tourists to get a greater depth of field. In all other situations, the aperture remained unchanged. The build quality is excellent. Even in a sandstorm, there was no thought that the lens would take in sand. Convenient button. I set eye autofocus on it. Very pleasant bokeh that doesn't become tiresome. After my Tamron, the autofocus seems instantaneous.
I will wait for promotions from the photo channel of my city in order to buy it for less than 100 thousand rubles.
