The Sigma 35mm F2 DG DN is focused from a minimum distance of 27 cm. Fast and quiet focus is provided by the stepper motor of the autofocus system. Among other amenities, the lens uses a 9-blade aperture to smooth out glare from out-of-focus objects, and a protective cap is fixed to the front lens with magnets. Fast and silent autofocus
The lens is assembled in a sturdy aluminium body with rings for manual focus and aperture changes from f/2 to f/22.
