One of the few representatives of the Sigma optics squad for Sony E and Micro 4/3 mirrorless systems. Taking into account the crop factor of the cameras of the above formats (1.5x and 2.0x respectively), a 60mm lens will fit both as a portrait lens and for use as a long-range fix for hunting at a distance from the subject of shooting. Of the controls on the “body” of the Sigma 60mm F2.8 DN A, there is only a wide manual focus ring.
Also, when focus, you can completely trust the automation — the autofocus stepper motor catches the subject with a strong grip quickly enough. You should not expect superpowers from a lens in portrait shooting — a 7-blade aperture with a maximum aperture of f / 2.8 does not contribute to obtaining fabulous bokeh. The A symbol at the end of the lens name indicates that the model belongs to the top Art line, whose delegates stand out from their peers with improved optical characteristics.
