The Samsung external solid-state drive with 1 TB capacity is a relatively compact (2.5-inch form factor) and lightweight (less than 60 grams) device for storing and rapidly exchanging data. It is housed in a shockproof metal casing, designed to protect the model from adverse mechanical impacts, such as accidental drops (from heights of up to 2 meters). The USB-C 3.2 gen2 interface, along with the corresponding cable included in the package, enables fast data transfer and universal connectivity.
As a result, the Samsung Portable SSD T7 MU-PC1T0T/WW 1 TB can write data at speeds of up to 1000 MB/s and read it at up to 1050 MB/s, which is over five times the speed of traditional HDDs. The device comes with integrated software to ensure compatibility with MacOS, Windows operating systems, and Android devices. Additionally, it supports the UASP encryption protocol to protect data from unauthorized access. It is also worth noting that different versions of the portable drive are available in the market in terms of capacity (ranging from 500 GB to 2 TB) and casing color (blue, gray, or red).

I use the drive for Time Machine backups, and it performs its role perfectly. I haven't measured the speed because there's no point; it just works, although it does get quite hot. A very cool drive, works reliably for a year now. It has a good configuration, and a cool feature is the software that allows you to lock the disk with a password for confidentiality, although I don't use it. It works really fast, I mount 4K videos directly from the drive without delays. It looks very stylish, it's convenient that there are different colors, but for some reason it feels tactilely like you are constantly worried about breaking it, although it is quite reliable, this is purely a psychological issue, however, all my acquaintances who use it say the same.
