The Acer Spin series features thin, compact and elegant convertible laptops that normally do not differ from their counterparts, however, due to the touch screen and special hinges, they unfold and turn into massive tablets. Serious performance combined with a compact size makes them a great choice for school, business and entertainment.

As is the case with other Acer lines, these little ones come at a price. If most manufacturers have convertible laptops in the premium class, the R / Spin series brought these ideas to the middle class. At the same time, it cannot be said that the average Spin is in some way inferior to the conditional Lenovo Yoga or HP Envy: there are the same aluminium cases, USB-C Thunderbolt ports and fast charging, Wi-Fi 6 communication modules, and a display with stylus support.

The body of the average Spin is almost always ultra-thin, mostly made of aluminium. The screen, usually, is of high quality — IPS is above average, but not as spectacular as that of competitors. However, Acer has never positioned them as multimedia laptops. But battery life is serious, 10 hours at moderate load is the norm for Spin.

The lineup of the series includes more than a dozen diverse laptops with a range of prices from 500 to 1000 dollars. The Acer Spin 3 has a 14-inch display while the Acer Spin 5 has a standard 15-inch display. The hardware base in 99% of cases gives out the possible maximum for every penny spent, such a price-performance ratio in convertible laptops is not found every day. For example, $1100 sells a 15-inch laptop with a brand new Core i7, 16 GB of RAM, a massive NVMe SSD and integrated Intel Iris graphics! A simpler option with a Core i5 and 8 GB of RAM will cost around $800.
