USB-C charging laptops
Power Delivery (charging via USB-C)
— the presence in the laptop of at least one USB-C connector with support for Power Delivery technology.Recall that USB-C is the newest type of USB connector — with small dimensions and convenient double-sided design. And Power Delivery support allows such connector to at least supply power up to 100 W to an external device — of course, if the connected device also supports this technology. At the same time, the actual power supply is coordinated between the laptop and the gadget being charged in such way as to achieve maximum efficiency without overloading. Such features are especially useful when charging smartphones, tablets and other portable electronics — the charging time is noticeably reduced (of course, provided that the gadget also supports Power Delivery or compatible fast charging technology). In addition, this function may be useful for some USB peripherals with increased power requirements. And some laptops with Power Delivery are able to use this technology to charge their own battery — this, among other things, allows you to “refuel” from any charger or power bank with USB-C plug and Power Delivery function.
