SSD laptops
SSD
— laptops equipped with SSD only (including M.2 and Optane SSD configurations — see Drive Features) and not using other types of media.Solid-state SSD modules in terms of gigabytes of volume are more expensive than classic hard drives, but they have number of advantages over them. Firstly, such memory works much faster than HDD. Secondly, it withstands shocks and falls much better: in order to physically damage the SSD, you need fairly strong impact, which is likely to disable other laptop components. Thirdly, drives of this type are quite economical in terms of power consumption.
As a result, laptops with SSDs are the most popular these days; other types of drives are much less common.
