Phillips' B-Series are versatile mid-to-top monitors that can be loosely described as "production monitors." Unlike conventional inexpensive monitors, the bulk of B Line models are equipped with small but useful little things like the SmartErgoBase stand, W-LED backlighting, which reduces eye strain, or presence and light sensors. The former optimizes the monitor's power consumption by turning off the display when the user is not using the monitor. The second automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the lighting in the room.
The range of the B Line series is dominated by monitors with a diagonal of 24 – 27", universal for such tasks. Adjacent to them are affordable 22-inch monitors, which are more suitable for the simplest photo and video processing. In 90% of cases, IPS-type matrices are used in the models of this series, which dilute the rare VA models. Additional equipment of such monitors often includes a pair of built-in speakers, a USB hub for connecting peripherals, an ergonomic stand and a laptop charging port.
Some representatives of the B-series stand out from the general range, and they would look more logical in the professional P Line. For example, the Philips 346B1C 34-inch 4K monitor, which costs about a thousand dollars, is equipped with a USB hub, fast charging, supports dual connection through and can display exactly all 100% of the NTSC colour gamut. Whichever way you look at it, this is a very interesting option for professional designers, 3D animators, photographers, architects, etc.
