Red flagship
Until the release of the mysterious Vega, it is the Radeon RX 580, which is nothing more than an overclocked version of the RX 480, that remains the most powerful AMD graphics card. By analogy with the RX 570, it received an increased power consumption of up to 185 W, which made it possible to reach previously unattainable frequency heights.
No overpayment for style
The RX 580 Armor 4G OC model occupies a middle niche in the MSI lineup between the low-cost Aero series and the flagship Gaming series. There is, of course, the water-cooled Sea Hawk series, but for the not so hot RX 580, it is clearly redundant. Armor has two quiet 10 cm fans, heat pipes are also available, and the back plate is not really needed - it performs more of a decorative and protective function than a cooling one.
Out of memory
MSI RX 580 Armor 4G OC can only be scolded for a relatively small amount of video memory. If for FullHD-resolution 4 GB is enough with a margin (60 FPS at high or even maximum graphics settings), then for 2K and, even more so, 4K - no way. Therefore, if you have a monitor with a resolution higher than 1080p, it is better to pay extra for the 8 GB version of the RX 580 or look towards the 6 GB GeForce GTX 1060.
