Laptops HP series OMEN (gaming)
HP OMEN
Each laptop manufacturer has at least two lines of gaming devices in its arsenal - simpler laptops for online toys and big-low-cost projects with medium graphics settings and elite gaming machines that are ready to fulfill any whim of an esports player. The giant Hewlett-Packard is no exception in this regard: under the flags of HP Pavilion Gaming, the company produces entry-level gaming laptops, and leaves all the most interesting for the HP Omen line.
These are status gaming laptops with a rich history and recognizable design. The case of an average representative of the series, usually, is massive and bulky, so that a performant hardware and an intelligent cooling system for this good could fit inside. The appearance of the models is distinguished by sharp aggressive lines, bristling heat sink grilles and an abundance of red inserts. The massive hinge on which the display rises can be called a hallmark of Omen.
For displays, engineers often use fast gaming matrices with a response speed of 5 to 7 milliseconds. The refresh rate is most often optimal by today's standards of 144 Hz. Much less often you can find a screen with 60 or 300 Hz. The displays are great in terms of colour reproduction and contrast. To combat tearing of dynamic frames, simpler models use screens with support for the familiar AMD Freesync, NVIDIA G-Sync is less common.
In 2020, HP will slightly modernize the design of the line, diluting the company of classic laptops with several unusually ascetic HP OMEN 15-en0000 and 15-ek0000 models, which are somewhat reminiscent of Lenovo Legion gaming laptops. Regardless of the year of release, the hardware configurations of the Omen models correspond to the status and can offer the highest possible equipment for a gaming laptop, including a Core i9 processor, a GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, a 1TB M.2 SSD, Thunderbolt ports, Bang & Olufsen speakers, a fast charging and other useful things in everyday life. Interestingly, even in such a "maximum hardware" the price of a laptop is unlikely to exceed $2000.
