At the end of 2019, the Taiwanese giant Asus launched a new line of laptops, monitors and computers ProArt. They are designed for creatives, specialists in photo processing, 3D graphics, animation and visual effects, for whom the performance of hardware and the quality of screens are vital.

ProArt laptops stand out for their record-breaking performance and considerable cost. The older models of the Asus Pro X W730G5T level use a high-performance hardware platform based on Intel Core i7 and a professional Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 video accelerator. Add here 32 GB of overclocked DDR4 memory and get a thoroughbred workstation capable of serious computing feats. You'll have to try hard to find something so powerful in a laptop case. Only HP ZBook and MSI W workstations come to mind.

“Simpler” models like the ProArt StudioBook 15 H500GV will cost a potential buyer 2-3K dollars and can compete in performance with most gaming laptops in 2020. These laptops are equipped with Core i7 processors, GeForce 2060/2080 graphics cards, 32 GB of RAM and a fast 512 GB NVMe SSD. Thanks to the memorable design, equipment and similar pricing, these laptops are often listed as competitors of the MacBook Pro.

The housings of the models are usually made of high-quality wear-resistant materials (more often magnesium alloy, less often aluminium), which are thoroughly tested. In some cases, you can count on an unkillable corps that meets high army standards. Almost all ProArt models turned out to be moderately thin and compact, but you can't exactly call them light - the weight of particularly powerful assemblies can exceed 2.5 kg, which is too much by today's standards. However, it is much more important that the cooling system handles with a record load in such a compact space.
