Laptops with good NTSC colour gamut
Colour gamut NTSC ≥ 72%
— laptop PCs with screens that provide 72% or higher NTSC colour gamut.Recall that the range of displayed colours for computer screens is usually designated according to specific colour model. For more on this, see "Colour gamut". And NTSC is one of the first colour models created back in 1953 for colour television. It is not used in the production of modern LCD matrices, but is used to describe and compare them. NTSC covers wider range of colours than the sRGB standard used in computers (see the relevant paragraph); therefore, even small number of percentages in this case corresponds to fairly wide coverage. Actually, 72% or more, which we are talking about in this case, is already good indicator that allows you to use laptop in design and graphics. At the same time, the same NTSC figures on different screens may correspond to different figures for the more popular sRGB; so if accurate colour reproduction is decisive for you, these details should be clarified before buying.
Also note that among individual monitors, it is easier to find screen with wide colour gamut; while it will also cost less than laptop with similar display characteristics. So choosing laptop with high-end screen makes sense mainly when portability is as important to you as high-quality colour reproduction.
