When it became clear that my old system with a Core2Duo was no longer cutting it, I decided not to upgrade it but to try installing an SSD, just as everyone advises. The results exceeded all my expectations! The computer started running as if I had bought a new one. For some reason, the bundled software didn't want to transfer the data from the hard drive to the SSD on the first try. It gave errors twice, at different intervals. I decided to try a third time and if it still didn’t work, just install a fresh Windows. But on the third attempt, everything worked fine. I was worried that due to these glitches, the system would operate unstably — who knows what could have gone wrong during the transfer. But it's been over a week now and no problems have appeared, everything is working fine, fingers crossed. I now use the old drive for torrents and music. After installing this marvel, the system started booting in less than 20 seconds, whereas it used to take about two minutes! It's beautiful and very well-made. The price is higher than some competitors. But it's completely justified by the drive's capabilities. I got the 128 GB model, since I don't need more capacity, and it's expensive. It seems the manufacturer thinks only laptop owners use SSDs because there's no adapter included to install the drive in a desktop. I had to improvise myself, using some metal parts from a child's construction set. Fortunately, there's no risk of vibrations, as long as it's held tightly, and I've made sure it is. use Samsung 840 PRO week i recommend it should buy |
