The idea of Huawei Watch is exactly the same as that of other smartwatches: they take the best from three worlds, combining the classic shapes of stylish wristwatches with smart smartphone hardware and physical activity sensors from fitness trackers. The difference is that other manufacturers tend more towards modern design, and Huawei products are designed more for adherents of classic watches and chronometers with massive dials, mechanical bezels and leather straps that shade the colour of the watch itself.
Usually, representatives of the Huawei Watch family can boast touch AMOLED screens with good readability in the sun, support the installation of external dials, are equipped with quick-release straps, GPS modules for navigation and optional NFC for using the watch as a virtual wallet. The presence of a shockproof case and water protection depends on the specific model of the watch. Built-in sensors are usually able to measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (not everywhere), steps taken, movement speed and calories burned.
In total, Huawei has more than a dozen watches in its assortment, the most popular among which are the classic Watch/Watch Pro models and simplified versions with the GT prefix, which usually have Wi-Fi and NFC modules cut out. In 2021, Huawei updated its smartwatch line by releasing the ultimate Watch 3 Pro model with a titanium case, a massive AMOLED screen protected by sapphire crystal, eSIM support, a built-in temperature sensor, blood oxygen saturation sensor, GPS module, NFC, wireless charging and an advanced training complex.
