After the introduction of US sanctions and the unavailability of Google services, Huawei devices lost their former popularity. However, the Chinese manufacturer still has decent models in its range, such as the Huawei Watch GT 4. These premium smartwatches compete with the Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch. The model is available in two versions: a “male” 46 mm version with a more brutal look and a 41 mm version, distinguished by grace and precision, clearly aimed at a female audience. This is what we will talk about.

The 41mm model looks sleek and stylish, fits comfortably on the wrist, has a slim stainless steel body with 5 ATM water resistance and subtle bezels around the 1.32-inch AMOLED display. The manufacturer offers four colors, which differ not only in color palette, but also in materials: black silicone strap, white leather, silver steel and gold Milanese bracelet. All options look beautiful, the choice depends on preferences.

For sport and life

In terms of functionality, smartwatches are practically not inferior to their competitors and in some aspects are superior to them. They measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, steps taken, calories burned and even body temperature. They also monitor sleep, stress levels and women's health, support about 100 sports modes, have a built-in player for listening to music and the necessary navigation systems. Huawei has used the new TruSeen 5.5+ sensor, which improves measurement accuracy. In practice, the measurement accuracy is very satisfactory.

The watch not only duplicates incoming calls, messages and alerts, but also allows you to receive calls and respond to messages using emoji or pre-prepared templates. In most cases, you don't even have to take out your smartphone. Autonomy is also at the level: one charge is enough for 4 days of normal use or 2 days with the Always-on Display function turned on. With less active use, the charge can be extended for a week.

Not without nuances

The sanctions have left their mark, and buyers of Huawei devices will have to put up with some inconveniences. The watch runs on the proprietary HarmonyOS operating system, to which there are no complaints. To connect to a smartphone, you need the Huawei Health application, which is not available on Google Play (like all Google services on Huawei devices), but is available in the company's App Gallery store. Or you can download it by scanning the code on the package. Another drawback is the lack of contactless payment. There is an NFC chip, but payment is only possible using Huawei Pay, which only works in some countries, mainly in China.
