If you've ever been looking for good, more expensive headphones, you've probably come across recommendations to try the DT770 Pro and DT990 Pro models, which are in fact studio instruments, but in fact are the object of many connoisseurs of high-quality sound. So, the Beyerdynamic T series headphones are not one, or even two levels higher than the DT models. In many tops and reviews, there is often an opinion that these are one of the best Hi-Fi headphones that you can buy for $1000. When developing them, German engineers devote all their efforts to optimizing the design, designing speakers, balancing body kits, optimizing the shape of the cups, selecting suitable velvet for covering the ear pads and other things that directly affect the level of comfort and sound quality. In general, this is the case when it is appropriate to recall the cliché about the famous German quality.

Upon first glance, representatives of this series surprise with their technical characteristics. While most consumer headphones are limited to a frequency spectrum of 20 to 20,000 Hz, the German brainchild is capable of reproducing bass from an unusually deep 5 Hz to ultra-high frequencies in the region of 50,000 Hz. Moreover, in order to play normally, they often do not need a vintage vinyl player with a tube amplifier; any smartphone or laptop can drive 32 Ohms. They play great, the sound is so spacious and realistic that with good quality of the source material, sometimes it seems that you are at a live performance with a perfectly tuned sound.

Beyerdynamic is not a company that releases updates for the sake of updates and saturates the market with a dozen almost identical headphones. As in the other legendary DT series, in the T line there have been only 2 main models T1 and T5, which have gone through 3 cycles of updates throughout their existence, as well as rare modifications with the prefixes “P” and “I” in the name. And if the P models have changes of a cosmetic nature, then the miniature Beyerdynamic T 51i with an automatically adjustable headband is noticeably different from the massive T5 model.
