Instead of traditional plastic, the construction features aluminum swivel hinges and a quality folding mechanism with snug-fitting parts. The headband includes an anatomical recess (fontanelle recess) to help reduce pressure on the crown. Despite the weight of 319 g, the headphones are so comfortable that they are easy to forget even during long listening sessions.

Solid punch, exquisite precision

The sound quality is ensured by the 45-mm Stellar.45 drivers, inherited from the studio models DT 700/900 Pro X. They provide a balanced delivery with tight and fast bass that does not overshadow the midrange. Vocals are clear and intelligible, while the high frequencies are free of harshness and intrusive sibilance. For watching movies and gaming, there is support for Dolby Atmos with head-tracking, allowing the virtual sound stage to adapt to the user's movements.

Marathon of pure sound

The model's wireless capabilities cover all basic usage scenarios. The Bluetooth 5.4 module with multipoint support allows quick switching between multiple devices, while the aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive codecs ensure CD-quality audio transmission without losses (16-bit / 44.1 kHz).

The adaptive noise cancellation system effectively eliminates everyday background noise without feeling pressure in the ears. However, it is less confident with intense broadband noise, lagging behind the best solutions on the market. But the battery life is impressive: up to 50 hours of operation with active ANC, and 10 minutes of quick charging provide about 5 more hours of music listening.

Among the shortcomings, excessively sensitive touch control panels can be noted, as they sometimes respond to accidental touches when adjusting the headphones. Moreover, replacing the stock ear pads will require certain efforts due to their very tight fixation.
