Over-ear headphones
prices on 890 models— a type of over-ear headphone in which each cup completely covers the ear and fits snugly to the head.
Recall that in all overhead models (both on-ear and over-ear), the cup is located outside the auricle (this is the main difference from in-ear devices and inserts). This simplifies the creation of headphones with advanced sound characteristics, allows you to use some specific tricks, but complicates transportation and use on the go; and the headband found in most of these devices is poorly compatible with some hairstyles and headgear. And in full-size models, the cups are made quite large and are equipped with characteristic soft "curbs" around the perimeter of the inner side — these curbs are adjacent to the head, so that the auricle is actually inside the cup. Thanks to this, it is possible to provide excellent sound insulation — in fact, according to the acoustic design (see the corresponding list), most headphones of this type are closed (although there are exceptions). However, the main advantage of the full-size design is comfort during prolonged wear: with the right size, the cups practically do not touch the ears and do not put pressure on them. On the other hand, over-ear headphones are quite bulky and poorly suited for on-the-go use.
