Bone headphones

— headphones that transmit sound not in the traditional way (through the ear canal), but through the bones of the skull; for this, diffusers are superimposed on the head near the ear. Thus, the ear remains completely open, and the user can simultaneously hear the sound in the headphones and the surrounding sound background. This provides a number of advantages compared to classic ears: for example, you can listen to music while communicating with colleagues in the office (and at the same time without disturbing them), or ride a bicycle with headphones without compromising traffic safety. However such functionality is expensive. Also note that this feature is found in some in-ear models and earbuds that have emitters of a classic design (usually these are true wireless devices, see "Connection"). In such cases, bone conduction is used not to transmit, but to receive sound — namely the user's voice — using the built-in microphone. Such a microphone in true wireless models is located quite far from the mouth, and in this way you can achieve greater reliability than with traditional voice transmission over the air.
