Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 32 Ohm
![]() |
High-quality wired over-ear closed-back stereo headphones, primarily intended for listening to musical compositions. Positioned by the manufacturer as a product not only for amateur but also semi-professional use. Belong to the mid-price category, featuring excellent natural sound quality. They are relatively large in size and weigh 270 g, necessary for high mechanical durability and creating a comfortable ear fit.
Equipped with large and soft removable ear pads, they provide a significant passive noise isolation effect. The Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO headphones are designed for extended use without causing discomfort over long periods. They offer a comparatively flat amplitude-frequency response in the mid-frequency range, confidently handling low and high-frequency sounds.
According to the manufacturer, the full frequency range is from 5 to 35,000 Hz. They reproduce clean and transparent sound with a high degree of naturalness, possessing a low harmonic distortion rate (less than 0.2%). Completely devoid of artificial bass sound, they can be used as an affordable option for monitor headphones. Equipped with a three-meter cable with a 3-pin mini-Jack 3.5 mm plug and a 3-pin Jack 6.35 mm adapter.

-Sound is simply gorgeous, you can hear absolutely every detail -Universal, ready to play from pop music with quality bass to rock of Letov with a simple sound card, so it's even pleasant to listen, classical music also sounds great -Noise isolation is acceptable for passive ones -Ears hurt after sitting in them for 2+ hours -Earpads are uncomfortable for me, velour ones would be better -Non-detachable cable |
I evaluate the headphones from the perspective of playing the electric guitar. Comfortable fit, large and very soft earpads, you can work for a long time without getting tired. The long cord allows you to move away from the table and play the instrument without the cord becoming taut. On the DT 770 PRO models with 250 Ohm impedance, the cable is coiled. Sufficient sensitivity of 96 dB for 80 Ohm headphones can easily be powered by USB sound cards and smartphones; I have a Steinberg UR22mkII. The characteristics are not flat, with certain features, not to be confused with shortcomings, as each brand adds its own flavor. I have been using these headphones for over two years (the impedance of my headphones is 80 Ohms, there are also modifications with an impedance of 250 and 32 Ohms). I am absolutely thrilled! The sound is just perfect! The bass, midrange, and treble are distinct. Music truly gained a panorama. I've revisited my entire music library with these headphones and realized how much I was missing with budget headphones. However, there's one nuance: I almost immediately bought a good sound card (Asus Xonar Essence ST) for these headphones. This "pair" permanently discouraged me from using onboard sound cards and cheap headphones. Therefore, if you plan to use Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO with an onboard sound card, the sound quality will improve, but it still won't be the same... This leads to a recommendation: when buying these headphones, consider purchasing a good sound card as well. And trust me: after this, you'll never want to use cheap headphones again! I simply can no longer listen to music with earbuds (even the most expensive ones with high-end players) - they don't even come close to delivering the sound that the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO produces, and therefore, they just hurt the ears. But earbuds are not meant for ideal sound, they have a slightly different purpose. In general, these are very high-quality premium class headphones! It's no wonder they are used in serious recording companies and commercial radio stations (I've seen them multiple times in photos and broadcasts). And professionals won't use rubbish... - Crystal clear sound. - Perfect bass. - Ears do not get tired from long periods of wearing headphones. - Good sound insulation. - Made in Germany. - Gold-plated connectors (native mini-jack 3.5 mm and 3.5/6.3 mm adapter). There are no critical shortcomings. Unless the fabric belly pads will need to be washed periodically. In this regard, it is worth buying a spare set of bellies. But this is all nonsense compared to the ideal sound you will hear in these headphones. use Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 32 Ohm month or more i recommend it should buy |
30 years ago, inspired by the success of high-impedance headphones of the DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm series, Beyerdynamic continued its victorious march, expanding the line with 80 and 32-ohm models. It happened back in 2012, but the series does not cease to be relevant to this day.
Time-tested quality
DT 770 PRO 32 Ohm are designed to work with smartphones and portable audio players. They are made in Germany, the quality of materials and assembly are impeccable and they serve without problems for several years, as time shows. In terms of ergonomics, everything is also on top. The cups sit comfortably, the ear cushions tightly cover the ears, providing high-quality noise isolation. Ear pads can be changed, ordered optionally, and it is better to do it right away in order to have a pair in reserve.
The non-removable cable upset a little, but otherwise, there were no complaints about it. Twisted, of sufficient length (3 m), with a gold-plated jack and a 6.35 mm threaded adapter. On the street with this, of course, you won’t walk much, it’s heavy, and it will sag. But just right for home use. Since the first high-impedance DT 770 PROs were designed as studio monitors, there was no need to make them foldable, and so they have remained. But a cloth cover was added to the kit.
Sound with 30 years of experience
As for the sound, Beyerdynamic did not invent anything here. They left a flat, close to perfect frequency response and a wide range ranging from 5 to 35,000 Hz. What can be heard there at 5 Hertz or after 25,000, we do not know, but the sound in the headphones is very good, no doubt. Everything is legible, clear, balanced, does not mix into porridge, and there is also volume.
As a result, for 200 USD we get an almost perfect version of low-impedance headphones, although not as spectacular in appearance as the same Marshall Monitor, but guaranteed to be comfortable and with excellent sound. A legend available in all guises.
