HyperX Cloud Alpha is the second generation of gaming headsets from the popular HyperX Cloud series. Unlike the original Cloud and low-cost Cloud Stinger models, this series is one step higher and claims to be an affordable premium class. Alpha's highlight is the new 50mm dual-chamber drivers with neodymium magnets, thanks to which the quality of sound processing has increased. The dual-chamber design allows for more effective separation of sound frequencies and improves the quality of sound reproduction: the high frequencies began to sound clearer and more pleasant, and the bass became deeper.

Also, Cloud Alpha has been improved in terms of convenience and comfort. Like the original HyperX Cloud models, these are closed-back over-ear headphones with large soft ear pads, a detachable microphone, a detachable cable, a wired connection and a metal frame. According to the manufacturer, they improved the temples and the size adjustment mechanism, strengthened the aluminum frame, used higher-quality foam ear pads and improved the quality of sound insulation through the use of denser leatherette.

As a result of the improvements, the level of comfort has noticeably increased: the removable ear pads fit tightly to the ears, provide effective sound insulation from external noise, and the soft polymer foam filler helps to evenly distribute pressure on the head at the points of contact. For added convenience, the cable now includes a remote control with a microphone mute button and a volume control wheel. After the success of the original model, HyperX released 2 more modifications of the headset: Cloud Alpha S with an external sound card and Cloud Alpha Wireless with a built-in battery for 300 hours of continuous operation and a powerful radio receiver with a 20-meter range.
