Under the flags of JBL LIve, universal headphones for everyone have gathered: from simple wireless plugs to pumped overhead models with wired and Bluetooth connection. JBL positions the Live series as universal headphones for every day for home listening, walking, cycling, etc.

Most representatives of the JBL Live series support a combined connection, allowing you to listen to music at home directly via cable without compression, and on the street ― connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth and not get confused in the wires. In addition, almost all Live models are either overhead headphones with a closed design, or in―channel vacuum plugs, so they have no problems with physical noise isolation.

If you often go to the subway and other noisy places, then an additional active noise reduction system will come to the rescue, which JBL engineers began adding to the Live models starting in 2019. In addition to the ANS system, many representatives of this family are equipped with an Ambient Aware system, which, on the contrary, clearly transmits ambient sounds and TalkThru to the headphones, which lowers the level of music and allows you to talk on the phone without removing the headphones.

As for the sound, everything is ambiguous here. Newer models like the JBL Live 650BT surprise with a balanced sound and omnivorous. And older models, on the contrary, sound in the best traditions of the company, shifting the emphasis on the power and elaboration of the bass. For electronics and hip-hop, this is the right approach, but it's better not to listen to jazz in them.
