In fact, they are a kind of “8 + 8 pin” configuration (see the relevant paragraph), supplemented by a separate 6-pin socket for additional power supply of components connected via PCI-E. Strictly speaking, 6 pin in this case is not a processor power connector, but its presence indicates a high-class motherboard, so such models are classified as a separate category.
