A versatile zoom lens from the hobbyist Contemporary range for a wide range of APS-C format SLR cameras. The model is available in versions for Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Pentax and Sony DSLRs. In the first three editions, an optical stabilizer is installed “under the hood” of the lens, which allows you to win a couple of exposure steps when shooting handheld or in low light conditions.

There is no stub in the versions for Pentax and Sony (one is installed directly on board of cameras of the named brands). The maximum aperture of the model "floats" from f / 3.5 to f / 6.3, depending on the selected focal length. Focuses Sigma 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM C from a distance of 39 cm. Inside the model there is a complex optical design consisting of 17 elements under the wing of 13 groups, including three aspherical elements, four elements of low dispersion FLD glass and one of SLD glass. The aperture of the lens is 7-blade. Any of the filters with a thread diameter of 72 mm can be installed on the front lens of the “station wagon”. With dimensions of 79x101.5 mm, the weight of the lens is 585 g.
