— the oldest, simplest and most inexpensive technology in use today. The key advantages of this type of displays are low cost and excellent response time. On the other hand, such matrices do not have high image quality: the brightness, color accuracy and viewing angles of TN-film screens are at medium level. These indicators are sufficient for working with documents, web surfing, most games, etc.; however, for more serious tasks requiring high-quality and reliable pictures (for example, design or color correction photo/video) such screens are almost unsuitable.In light of this matrix, TN-film is relatively uncommon nowadays, mainly among low-cost laptops; more advanced devices are equipped with better screens, most often IPS.
