USB 3.0 ports laptops
USB 3.2 gen1
— laptops with at least one classic full-size USB port (“USB A”) supporting USB 3.2 gen1 interface.Recall that USB is now the most popular computer connector for external devices; it can be used both for various peripherals (keyboards, mice, flash drives and much more), and for charging external gadgets (for example, smartphones). And USB 3.2 gen1 (formerly known as USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 gen1) is the most common connection standard today; this standard is gradually replacing the outdated, slower USB 2.0 and has not lost popularity despite the advent of the more advanced USB 3.2 gen2 (see the relevant paragraph). USB 3.2 gen1 connectivity provides data transfer rates up to 4.8 Mbps; also, in comparison with the previous version, the power supply of the connected devices has been increased. At the same time, such connectors are compatible with peripherals and for other USB versions — except that it may be difficult with individual “gluttonous” devices, and an adapter is required to connect the USB-C plug.
Note also that the number of USB 3.2 gen1 ports may vary. For added convenience, laptops with numerous such connectors — 4 or more — are placed in separate selection point.
