Judging by hints from the company's press service, JBL Wave is a new line of in-ear and submersible TWS headphones, which has replaced the outdated series of JBL C / E everyday lines and, to some extent, JBL Free sports headphones. The last conclusion is suggested by the fact that most of the JBL Wave models, except for the cheapest ones, are not afraid of moisture (IPX2 or IPX4 standard) and fully claim the title of sports.

From the moment of launch to this day (note: December 2022), JBL behaved unusually calmly and instead of 126 similar headphones, it presented only three models of a similar class: Wave 100TWS, Wave 200TWS and Wave 300TWS. The first 2 models are of the in-channel type with a high level of passive noise isolation. In turn, the Wave 300TWS belong to the type of earbuds in the spirit of AirPods, in which all the electronic filling is hidden in special legs. This option is perfect for people who, for one reason or another, do not fit in-ear headphones.

Otherwise, the JBL Wave is an example of high-quality and modern fully wireless headphones for entry-level and mid-range. To connect to a smartphone, tablet, ultrabook or other mobile device, they use modern fifth-generation Bluetooth receivers. Battery life can range from 5 to 8 hours. Each model comes with a stylish case with a built-in battery for additional recharging and transportation. Basic functions of hands-free headsets are supported. Only minor functions differ. For example, Wave 100TWS can work with low input delay, and Wave 300TWS are equipped with fast charging and support the JBL Deep Bass Sound feature.
