Lightweight and comfortable wired in-ear headphones from one of the leaders in the mobile acoustics market — the American company JBL. Designed for comfortable listening to music. Additionally, they are equipped with a remote control with a built-in microphone, which allows using this model as a full-fledged wired headset. They are equipped with large (for a similar form factor) dynamic radiators with a diameter of 12.5 mm, which, according to the manufacturer, are capable of reproducing a frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz.
The sound of the JBL T205 headphones has JBL's signature Pure Bass coloration. This sound character is great for playing modern electronic popular, dance and club music, as well as hip-hop. They have a rugged and reliable construction with a plastic housing and a self-extinguishing flat cable that is not prone to tangling. The remote control is equipped with a medium-sensitivity microphone, which allows you to freely conduct a conversation in a calm environment. A single multimedia button controls music playback, stop, start or switch audio tracks. With its help, you can answer/reject incoming calls from your smartphone. A standard 4-pin mini-Jack 3.5 mm connector allows you to connect headphones to smartphones, players and other modern gadgets.

Flagship portable audio JBL has always emphasized the presence of a powerful elastic bass in their devices. It is also announced in the T205 in-ear headphones for $20. But since the opinions of users about the good bass sound in this model are divided, we decided to find out for ourselves how the situation really is.
Design and ergonomic features
Let's start in order, with the appearance and ergonomics. Headphones are offered in 4 colour combinations, as they say, for every taste. The main colours are white and black, but the metallized inserts can be bronze, gilded, aluminium, steel. In addition to the letter indication of the left and right earphones, there is also a colour one.
One button control
Special attention should be paid to the standard length 1.2 m flat cable with a 45º plug, resistant to tangling. The cable has a one-button remote control for receiving / rejecting calls and switching tracks, but it does not work fully with any device, you need to try it. For example, on some Samsung smartphones, tracks do not switch and voice control cannot be called.
JBL Pure Bass
Sound... It's good for $20 headphones. You can guess the signature sound of JBL and the “effort” of Pure Bass technology, but to hear all the details of the scene, you need to listen to headphones in a quiet room and put the speakers deeper into your ear. Anyway, their sound is more interesting than in EarPods, wider in frequency response, but somewhat compressed, which gives it the characteristic JBL "plasticity".
Over time, many note a deterioration in sound, a decrease in volume, but the reason is simple and lies in the contamination of the protective grilles of the drivers. If they are removed, the sound will “open up” again, however, without a guarantee.
Protective case
To make the headphones less dusty and dirty, the manufacturer completes them with a fabric bag with a drawstring. A trifle, but nice.
In general, it’s not a pity to pay $ 20 for the JBL T205, especially if you are a fan of the brand, but personally we would prefer Xiaomi Mi Half In-Ear for the same amount. They sound a little more honest.
