From Sigma's Art Lens Series comes the 20mm F1.4 DG HSM, a state of the art wide-angle prime lens crafted for ultra-high-megapixel DSLRs, but will also work with APS-C sensors as well. With a focal length of 20mm and F1.4 aperture, this lens delivers outstanding large-aperture brightness and bokeh, resulting in unprecedented visual experiences. This allows the photographer to leverage the perspective provided by the wide -angle and the shallow depth of field provided by the large aperture; suitable for such ultra-wide-angle subjects as landscapes and starry skies, but also for snapshots in low light, indoor photography, portraits with a natural bokeh effect, and much more.The 20mm measures 5.1” long and 3.6” wide and it tips the scale at 33.5 oz., while offering f-stops ranging from F1.4 to f/16 and utilizing 9 rounded diaphragm blades. The rounded front element is protected by a built in petal-shaped hood, onto which attaches a smoothly fitting, sturdy lens cap. Autofocus is fast and silent with Sigma’s Hyper-Sonic Motor (HSM), and movement of the elements is internal, so the lens length does not change throughout focusing.The combination of advanced optics and optimized lens power distribution minimizes spherical aberration, axial chromatic aberration and field curvature, producing outstanding image quality. The Sigma 20mm Art is compatible with the USB dock to update and customize and is also compatible with the Mount Conversion Service.
