A wide-angle prime lens that allows you to take a fresh look at the world around you. The model will perfectly cope with the genres of landscape, interior and architectural photo and video shooting, it will also fit for shooting the night starry sky. The optical design of the Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM uses 14 elements arranged in 11 groups. It uses aspherical XA lenses, two ED glass elements and one extra ED glass element.

The lenses are coated with Nano AR Coating II. As a result, the lens is not afraid of glare and reflections of light. The front lens at the "width" is convex and since filters cannot be installed on it, special slots for flat filters are provided behind the rear lens near the bayonet mount. With a maximum aperture of f/1.8, the lens allows you to take high-quality pictures with point light sources. And the 11-blade diaphragm “draws” with the correct bokeh. The wide-angle is aimed at sharpness from a distance of 25 cm. The weight of a fixed lens is less than half a kilogram.
