SEL-P18105G

A zoom lens of a universal “breed” for the cropped guard of Sony mirrorless cameras of the five and six thousandth series. The model became the first swallow with a Golden tab for APS-C cameras. This is assigned to top-tier optics with improved performance and excellent build quality. The model covers the sought-after focal length range of 18-105 mm, which, translated into a full frame equivalent, is about 27-158 mm.

In this case, the maximum aperture does not depend on the zoom ratio and always remains f / 4. The Sony SEL-P18105 18-105mm f/4 G OSS uses optical image stabilization and a silent autofocus motor. The crowning "trick" of the model is the Power Zoom slider, which provides smooth zooming without jerks. Travel photographers and videographers will appreciate its presence. The lens is compatible with filters with a diameter of 72 mm. The weight of the "station wagon" is 482 g, the dimensions of its body are 78x110 mm (diameter/length).

Everything is relative: interchangeable lenses for cameras from third-party manufacturersLenses from alternative brands: money down the drain or an increase in image quality?

Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Zoom Camera Lens SELP18105G

The Sony SELP18105G E PZ is an 18-105mm F4 lens that has a design that emphasizes a graceful balance between high resolution... moreand gorgeous background bokeh that can enhance the artist's vision. Having to change lenses as you shoot can slow you down and introduce unwanted changes in image quality. Whether you shoot stills or movies, the 18–105 mm (full-frame equivalent = 27–157.5 mm) zoom range and quality of this fine G Lens will be more than enough for most shooting situations, plus you have the added advantage of smooth power zoom. An advanced optical design that incorporates two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and three aspherical elements offers enviable G Lens image quality throughout the zoom range. Excellent sharpness and contrast are maintained through the image area, supporting natural, true-to-life rendering that deftly captures even the subtlest visual nuances. Sony Handycam® technology has been implemented in the SELP18105G to ensure smooth, quiet zooming that is ideally suited to movie making. Focusing benefits from the same type of pro-level technology, providing smooth, quiet operation that is also responsive. The length of the lens remains constant while zooming or focusing. Zoom reversing is available after software update.IncludesLens hood (ALC-SH128: petal shape, bayonet type)Lens front capLens rear capFeaturesOne lens for diverse shooting needsSuperb rendering at any focal lengthZoom technology inherited from pro gearContinuously variable zoom speed controlConstant F4 maximum apertureBeautiful G Lens bokehSharp and clear in any situationSpecificationsMount:Sony E-mountFormat: APS-CFocal Length: 11/16" - 4-1/8"35 mm equivalent focal length (APS-C): 1-1/16" - 6-3/16"Lens Groups / Elements: 12/16Angle of View (APS-C): 76°-15°Maximum aperture (F): 4Minimum Aperture (F): 22Aperture Blades: 7Circular Aperture: YesMinimum Focus Distance: 1.48 (Wide)-3.12 ft (Tele) (0.45 (Wide)-0.95 m (Tele))Maximum Magnification ratio: 0.11xFilter Diameter (mm): 72mmImage stabilization (SteadyShot): Optical SteadyShotZoom system: Power zoomDimensions (Diameter x Length): 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" (78 x 110 mm)Weight: 15.1 oz (427 g) Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Zoom Camera Lens.

Thanks to technology originally developed for the Sony Handycam camcorders, zoom and focus operation are not only remarkably smooth and quiet, but the length of the lens remains constant as well, for consistent, stable handling when shooting stills or movies. A zoom lever allows zoom speed to be freely adjusted as required while maintaining a comfortable, firm grip, contributing to maximum image quality with minimum camera shake.Circular ApertureWhen changing your aperture to defocus the background, the light sources appear blurred. This ‘bokeh’ effect of the blurred background can be enhanced with circular aperture blades used in this lens. Conventional aperture blades have flat sides creating unappealing polygonal shaped defocussed points of light. a lenses overcome this problem through a unique design that keeps the aperture almost perfectly circular from its wide-open setting to when it is closed by 2 stops. Smoother, more natural defocusing can be obtained as a result.Aspherical Lens ElementsAspherical lens design dramatically reduces spherical aberration while also reducing lens size and weight. Spherical aberration is a slight misalignment of the light rays projected on the image plane. This is caused by differences in refraction at different points on conventional spherical lenses which degrade image quality in large-aperture lenses. Specially shaped “aspherical” elements near the diaphragm restore alignment of light rays at the image plane, maintaining high sharpness and contrast even at maximum aperture and can also be used at other points in the optical path to reduce distortion. Well-designed aspherical elements can reduce the total number of elements required in the lens, thus reducing overall size and weight. Advanced Aspherical (AA) elements are an evolved variant, featuring an extremely high thickness ratio between the center and periphery. AA elements are exceedingly difficult to produce, relying on the most advanced molding technology to consistently and precisely achieve the required shape and surface accuracy, resulting in significantly improved image accuracy and quality.ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) GlassAs focal lengths get longer, lenses built with conventional optical glass have difficulties with chromatic aberration, and as a result images suffer from lower contrast, lower color quality, and lower
