Sony 40mm f/2.5 G FE (SEL-40F25G)

A small prime lens for Sony mirrorless cameras with a full frame image sensor. The model is perfect for both photo and video shooting. To do this, it was armed with a silent autofocus drive with a minimum focusing distance of 25 cm, an aperture ring with a variable stroke type, and an autofocus lock button. A separate line of videographers will appreciate the characteristic corrugation of the diaphragm ring for pairing with a gear drive.

The optical formula of the Sony 40mm f/2.5 G FE is simple - 9 elements in 9 groups (including three aspherical lenses). The diaphragm in the model is 7-bladed. The lens boasts high sharpness from an open aperture, excellent glare protection, and an almost complete absence of chromatic aberrations. Together with a 40 mm fix, it is allowed to use filters with a diameter of 49 mm. We also note that the model is unified in design with two other fixed lenses for 24 mm and 50 mm - they can be easily rearranged when working on a gimbal without the need to re-balance the stabilizer.
