A powerful telephoto aimed at hunters, airspotters and sports correspondents, released under the cavalry of Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras. The model is designed for shooting wildlife, flying birds or air liners, dynamic scenes as part of sporting events. During focus and zooming in the claimed range of focal lengths of 200-600 mm, the lens completely retains its original dimensions — 112 mm in diameter and as much as 318 mm in length.

The TV set weighs "only" 2.1 kg. A tripod support for the Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G FE OSS is provided to align the centre of gravity of the lens ligament with the "carcass" of the camera. The complex optical design of the model consists of 24 elements in 17 groups and is reinforced by an 11-blade diaphragm design. The relatively low maximum aperture of f / 5.6-6.3 optics is compensated by the long-range focal lengths and the effective operation of the SteadyShot vibration reduction system with three different settings. Autofocus on board the telephoto is represented by a Direct Drive SSM stepper drive with a minimum focus distance of 2.4 m. In addition to the lens, 1.4x and 2x teleconverters are offered, increasing the already serious focal length of the optics by the appropriate factors.
