Vacuum cleaners with dust bag
Bag
— vacuum cleaners equipped with a conventional bag. Often this is the only type of dust collector. However, in some models, it can also be supplemented with a cyclone system or an aquafilter. The bag works as a filter: its walls allow air to pass through but retain contaminants. One of the key advantages of such dust collectors is simplicity and, as a result, low cost. At the same time, the capacity of the bag can be quite high, and it retains fine dust better than a cyclone, although somewhat worse than an aquafilter. Another advantage is that a vacuum cleaner with such equipment remains effective in any position of the body. On the other hand, overall work efficiency drops markedly as the bag fills up. And the cleaning procedure is usually quite troublesome — in particular, a lot of dust is raised into the air. Disposable paper bags are deprived of the last drawback. However, their purchase is associated with additional expenses (and if you need to sort garbage, such a bag will also have to be “gutted”). As a result of all this, bags nowadays are somewhat inferior in popularity to cyclones.
Also note that this category also includes models with two dust collectors — a bag and a cyclone; the features of such a combination are described in the paragraph "cyclone". But vacuum cleaners, where the bag is an addition to the aquafilter, refer only to the “aquafilter” item since the aquafilter is considered the main one.
