AV receivers with multi-channel input

Multichannel

— analogue audio input (line) covering the entire number of audio channels supported by the receiver. It is similar to RCA in terms of connectors and signal characteristics (see the relevant paragraph), including the principle of “1 audio channel per 1 connection socket”; however, there are more connectors in the multichannel input — according to the total number of channels (for example, in a receiver with 5.1 support there will be 6 connectors). This feature may be useful for those who plan to use the receiver to work with analogue multi-channel audio.
