AV receivers with composite output

 

— initially, the composite interface involves three RCA connectors — one for video, two for the left and right stereo sound channels. However, in the case of AV receivers, this term usually means only a video output consisting of a single connector (sound can be connected via standard RCA inputs — see the relevant paragraph). The image quality with this connection is average, only standard definition is supported (without HD); on the other hand, the composite connector has long been used in video technology and may be useful if you need to connect an outdated device.
