4K upscaling AV receivers
— upscaling is an increase in video resolution in such a way that it is not just “stretched” by the required number of pixels (even the simplest TVs have a similar function), but is supplemented with the required number of points with software. The need for such a function is associated with the widespread use of high-resolution screens – many video materials shot before the “4K era” have a much lower resolution and may look “sloppy” on modern screens (especially large ones). Upscaling partially eliminates this drawback; of course, it will not replace a full-fledged 4K “picture”, but the image quality increases significantly. Considering that most modern TVs have 4K resolution, this feature can be very useful if you plan to frequently watch lower resolution videos.
