In the spring of 2023, the Chinese manufacturer Lenovo announced a new series of Lenovo LOQ laptops, which symbolizes the company's new approach to the production of gaming laptops. It consists in the fact that the player has access to all the latest developments in the world of gaming components, but at the same time does not spend a fortune on a laptop. Simply put, Lenovo wants to please both ours and yours by releasing gaming laptops that will not fall far behind the Legion line, but at the same time will not cost as much.


The comparison with Legion laptops is no coincidence. This series at one time made a great noise both at technology exhibitions and among gamers who could afford such a device. In order not to lose continuity, the chassis was designed in the same minimalist vein, leaving behind a noticeably protruding air intake and using a similar font for the logo design, and the RGB-backlit keyboard is suspiciously reminiscent of the LightStrike keys from the Legion series. As planned by Lenovo, both the LOQ and Legion series harmoniously complement each other, expanding the freedom of choice for a potential user.

In terms of hardware, the manufacturer promises a thoroughbred middle class, focused on games in 1080p resolution. As a rule, this is a bundle of a Core i5 / i7 processor and an RTX 4050/4060 level video card, which complement 16 GB of DDR5 RAM. Lenovo also announced that LOQ modifications with AMD Ryzen processors are planned in the future. Other features of this series include fast charging, a backlit keyboard, a network card with a dedicated LAN port and Wi-Fi 6. Pretty simple IPS screens with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate are usually responsible for displaying images.

Speaking about the filling of LOQ laptops, one cannot ignore the unique development of the company called Lenovo AI Engine +. This is a whole software package with a separate AI chip that dynamically adjusts the fan speed to the GPU and CPU frequencies, constantly responding to temperature changes so that the laptop heats up less and the processor does not throttle. AI Engine+ uses machine learning algorithms to learn user habits and better adapt to them.
