The Book series from the American brand Razer includes image laptops that are atypical for it, with an emphasis not on games, but on solving heavy work tasks that require an increased hardware resource. This can be processing photo and video content, working with audio, compiling code, working with business applications, etc. As conceived by the manufacturer, they are designed to compete with MacBook Air, Asus Zenbook and Microsoft Surface ultrabooks.

It should be noted right away that this is an atypical and somewhat experimental series for an American brand. The main specialization of Razer is gaming peripherals and, more recently, laptops for gamers. Therefore, there are not so many recruits in the ranks of Book yet. The typical Razer Book is a compact mobile PC with a 13.4-inch screen and the thinnest side bezels in the class (according to the manufacturer).

The case weight of the Book models does not exceed 1.40 kg (depending on the configuration), and the thickness of the case is usually limited to 15 millimetres. As with the Razer Blade models, the body is made from a single piece of aluminium, anodized in a "mercury white" colour. IPS displays have an aspect ratio of 16:10 and boast good colour reproduction, and Intel Core i5 (Tiger Lake or later) processors are usually the heart. The memory scheme is most often made in the format of 8/16 GB of RAM + SSD up to 1 TB. The integrated Intel Iris video cards are responsible for graphics processing.

As is often the case with fashion laptops, the Razer Book is equipped with many useful little things that greatly simplify life. Namely, a capacious battery that holds a charge of up to 14 hours, fast charging, a full-size keyboard with Razer Chroma proprietary backlighting, modern USB ports, high-quality built-in speakers with support for the THX codec and a convenient glass touchpad.
