Shockproof
— initially, MIL-STD-810 is set of standards designed to test military equipment for performance in various adverse conditions and provides for rather stringent requirements. However, in "civilian" devices, compliance with this standard does not always mean the highest degree of protection. This is due to two nuances. Firstly, MIL-STD-810 includes whole set of tests (temperature conditions, humidity, vibration, shock, etc.), and formally compliance with this standard can be claimed even if the device has passed at least one of these tests. and was not checked at all for the rest. Secondly, the manufacturers themselves have the right to conduct the test, while they often do not cover which tests were used and which ones were passed. So although in general, the presence of MIL-STD-810 certification means an increased degree of protection, including from impacts, but the specific features of such protection are completely unknown.Show
