The first Kraken gaming headset was a stunning success in the gaming community. It was not a toy, but a serious and, no less important, reliable instrument, which, due to the high-quality spatial sound, gave a real advantage in virtual combat. As a result, branded green inserts of "kraken" became familiar at esports tournaments, and then they were tested by streamers and ordinary gamers who could afford them.

As is usually the case with Razer, any successful product acquires a dozen different modifications, and a new family appears in the company's assortment. The same story turned out with Kraken: since 2015, Razer has available modifications of Kraken Essentials and Kraken X, a lightweight version of Kraken Lite, tournament Kraken Tournament Edition with an external sound card and THX Spatial Audio. In addition to them, several modifications were released for owners of consoles, as well as the Razer Kraken Kitty Edition with cat ears for streamer girls.

Depending on the Kraken variation, you can get a sound virtualization system and a noise reduction for the microphone. The design of the headband and ear pads for all "kraken" plus or minus is identical: the body and the headband are made of strong and elastic plastic, and the ear pads made of artificial leather remember the shape of the user's ears. These headsets do not tyre during gaming sessions and streams, they do not press, but they do not fall off. Dynamic drivers provide high-quality sound with pronounced accents in the low-frequency area. They sound the music quite well. Especially newer models, whose balance is not so much shifted towards low frequencies.
