Infrared headphones

Infrared channel

— a rather specific method of wireless connection that uses not radio waves, but infrared radiation. Such a channel is practically not subject to interference, however, the connection is not of high sound quality and works only in line-of-sight conditions. Therefore, IR headphones are extremely rare, usually they are specialized models for equipment with sound IR outputs (such outputs are found, in particular, in some car monitors).
