The Philips SHM series includes good-quality assorted office headsets with a microphone on the bow. Thanks to democratic price tags and all the necessary equipment, they are well suited for both those who spend a lot of time at the computer at work and for home use.

Most SHM models are equipped with sensitive multi-pickup microphones with built-in noise reduction and the ability to completely mute the microphone. In some cases, the microphone holder can be raised or lowered along the cable to find the optimal position for high-quality voice transmission.

Form factor varies by model. Lightweight semi-open overhead models are more common, less often massive options like Philips SHM1900, which completely cover the ears, providing excellent noise isolation. Such models are quite suitable for the role of a simple gaming headset.

In the role of speakers, simple dynamic drivers are used (most often with a diameter of 32 – 40 mm) with a resistance of 32 ohms and a frequency spectrum from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Sound detailing is enough to solve work communication tasks, including receiving and making phone calls, sending voice messages and viewing audio and video content.

SHM series headsets use a standard 3.5 mm mini-jack to connect to a PC. Some models are equipped with a 2-in-1 adapter that allows you to easily switch between two audio sources, such as a PC and a laptop.
