Comet Lake processors
Intel Comet Lake (10th Gen)
— the family of Intel processors, originally introduced in 2019 with mobile chips, but in the spring of 2020, replenished with desktop solutions. Actually, in this case we are talking about desktop models. The manufacturing process for this family has remained unchanged relative to its predecessors — it's still the same 14 nm, albeit with some improvements. At the same time, the new LGA 1200 socket (originally expected in later Rocket Lake) was introduced in this Comet Lake. Top models of the i9 series received 10 cores; the flagship CPU of this series supports automatic overclocking to 5.3 GHz on a single core and up to 4.8 GHz on all at once, and, according to the manufacturer, is the most powerful gaming processor in the world at the time of release. All Comet Lake series, except Celeron (that is, from Core i9 to Pentium inclusive), implemented support for Hyper-Threading multithreading. Among other innovations, it is worth noting support for DDR4-2933 RAM, LAN controllers with speeds up to 2.5 Gbps and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless standard.
