Cascade Lake-X processors

Intel Cascade Lake-X (10th Gen)

— high-end Intel CPUs family released in the fall of 2019. They mainly belong to the Core i9 series, and technically they are a slightly accelerated and improved version of the Skylake-X Refresh chips — they are also built on a 14-nm process technology and use a similar microarchitecture. The most notable novelty was a noticeable reduction in cost — almost twice as compared with the CPUs of a similar class. Of the practical improvements, it is worth mentioning an increase in the number of PCIe 3.0 lanes (up to 72, taking into account the motherboard chipset), an update to Turbo Boost technology, support for DDR4 memory up to 256 GB and a set of DL Boost instructions that increase efficiency when working with artificial intelligence, and also compatible with the proprietary Performance Maximizer overclocking utility.
