Computers with optical S/P-DIF port
S/P-DIF
— the presence of PC optical audio output S/P-DIF.Initially, the S / P-DIF standard provides two signal transmission options — optical or electrical. The second option, better known as the “coaxial output”, has not received distribution in the PC, so in this case we are talking exclusively about optical outputs for the TOSLINK cable. Such cable is notable for its complete insensitivity to electrical interference, and even multi-channel audio can be transmitted through it — for example, to an external audio receiver that has an input of the same type. On the other hand, optical fibre requires careful handling, it does not tolerate strong pressures and bending.
